All I can say about it, is that it is a chair mat. I have medium pile carpet and the mat travels so much I have to take the chair off of it every other day and put the mat back in place as it travels over to the desk and wedges itself there. The dimples are more like sand traps when you are working. The ones the chair is not sitting in over night do go away so I move the chair off the mat overnight. Not great but better than trying to roll on the carpet.
