I have quite sensitive lips and find many balms, oils, lipsticks and even some chapsticks can make my lips dry out. Over the years I have tried many to ensure I know what is ok and what’s not. I basically normally only buy Burts Bees pomegranate lip balm and Clarins Instant Light lip balm in various colours, but not the matte ones as they are not good for me. I saw this and thought it looked similar to Clarins and for the price point it was worth trying.First impressions are the tube is nearly identical as is the applicator, good start. It is a very thick balm in comparison to Clarins and therefore somewhat difficult to squeeze out of the tube and suddenly appears like a little worm, rather than oozing out. Once you have got some to the top of the applicator it goes on very smoothly, the colour is great and exactly as I wanted. Despite the thickness of the balm, it is no more sticky than Clarins and more importantly has not dried my lips out and have no adverse reactions to it.The design of the tube makes it look like a top quality products like Clarins, but for less than a quarter of the price. If I’m being totally honest, I would still prefer Clarins for consistency and quality, but this is a very close second and so much better value than paying for the premium brands. In conclusion, if you need a new lip balm and are fed up with paying premium prices then I would highly recommend trying this. Great value, good packaging and so much easier to apply than a brush and a wide choice of colours.
