This cord is superbly made! Easy to sew with! The color is device! Such an amazing buy for one continuous length of fine cord! Have already purchased another order to have on hand! Best value on Amazon!I used the cording to trim the back pillows on cushions I made for my outdoor furniture. Although I tried using a 1/2” piping foot on my sewing machine, the thickness was too much for my home machine and I ended up machine basting it on and then doing the close work by hand. It was worth the effort in my opinion. The fabric and the button kits I also ordered from Amazon. It takes 2 yards of fabric per chair. I haven’t sewn in over 40 years but I have more patience now, lol.Used this to add a trim around the bottom of a couch I reupholstered, it turned out really great and I have a ton left over. For anyone like me who would appreciate guidance on how much use you can get out of it, my couch is 58"L X 36"W and I used about 5 1/2 yards to allot for allowance. The color was true to the pictures, it's a really rich and nice looking gold. Very satisfied with the product! This is the absolute worst cording that I have encountered in my long history of sewing. I use it for trim on the outside of throw pillows so it needs to be somewhat pliable and good looking. The rope cording itself was very stiff. I broke two needles on one pillow trying to sew through it even though I flattened it and coaxed it on. The lip was weak and could not handle the weight of the cord. The lip edge showed through through on the finished side of the pillow. The covering threads were thin and revealed the jute core in many places. In addition, the lip shredded where I clipped it to turn the corner.I had to remove this cording from the pillow because it was so bad. Because I used part of the bolt, I am not returning it. NEVER will I order it again.I am very pleased with this purchase. The cord is high quality. I used it for my table runner and it added style and zest.Cord is not properly sewn on the lip. The cord is sewn on the center of the band instead of the edge making it, the band, visible. The band also frays easily, especially after clipping at corners.Let the buyer beware: the mfg's solution to splicing cord was to cellophane tape the two ends of the twisted cord together and then sew it to the lip. There were two of these splices in the 20 yard piece, rendering many feet of the lipped cord unusable because the splice shows up in the middle of where it's going and I needed all twenty yards. On top of that, there's a section of cord where the shiny outer fibers do not cover the inside fibers. And naturally, I cut off the first splice before noticing the second and the defective section, so now I can't return it.This item wasn't on Amazon but there was one similar. After buying the ordinary cord, I contacted the seller to see if she had one with a lip. She did, so I bought it. The one with the lip is actually the one I wanted. I learned to contact the seller if I have any questions.Initially was very excited to receive the trim for I'm in the process of making Christmas embroidered cushions as gifts. Unfortunately, the first cushion won't be given. When attaching the the braid it became very apparent there would be issues. Please see pictures. Reason was due to the fact this braid is attached to the lip almost 4mm+ inside the lip tape which will make a very inferior finish. The tape will always be visible from at least one side if not both sides. This leaves a most unattractive finish very inferior. Have made many cushions using this type of trim (not this brand) this is an all time first. Very disappointed. The product will be returned immediately
